About This Station

The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro II weather station. The data is collected every 30 seconds and the site is updated every 5 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Meteohub Software and uploaded via a SheevaPlug. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
The WebCam is a Panasonic BL-C140A IP camera. Special thanks to Hometown Pharmacy for hosting it.

About This City

FAIRFIELD, TEXAS. Fairfield, the county seat of Freestone County, is at the junction of Interstate Highway 45, U.S. highways 75 and 84, and Farm roads 27, 488, and 1580, in the center of the county. The site was originally called Mound Prairie, but the name was changed to Fairfield when the location was chosen for the county seat in 1850.
